  Free School Meals – Payments for school holidays
  
  Welsh Government have confirmed today that they will not be making payments to parents/carers for meals in the summer holidays or beyond.
  Their statement confirms that they explored a possible extension to the scheme that they previously announced would cease in May half term, but due to budgetary constraints, it was
  not possible for them to continue with the scheme.
  
  We understand that this will be a concern to many families, Welsh Government have

  Dear Parent/Carer

   

  Important changes to School Meals Online Payments

   

  Our online payment provider for school meals and trips is changing from September.  We will no longer be using sQuid, and the new provider will be CRB Cunningham’s.  

   

  We advise that you run the balances down before the end of term, as school meal accounts will start from a ‘fresh’ £0.00 balance in September.

   

  Next steps:

   

  1. Use up balance: Please ensure any remaining balance on sQuid is used up before the end term.  If you are still in credit on your sQuid account at the end of term, then you will need to request a refund from sQuid directly. Link to the sQuid webpage available here:

  1. Parent account registration:  Onboarding information will be provided to parents in the first few days of the school term, to allow you to set up the account and load funds.  Please be assured that all pupils will be able to order a meal in the first few days until the account has been activated and these meals can be paid for once you have activated and loaded funds.

  You will need the Access Code handed to your child on Photo Day.

   

  Families may order with FREE delivery to school before the deadline as shown online. After this date orders can be placed with delivery direct to home.

  The photographer will be in School on Tuesday 28^th March 2023. If your child has siblings in school then we can photograph them together during school hours.

   

  If you have younger siblings that do not attend our school you can bring them in at 8:30am to have a photograph with their school age siblings.

   

  Year 6 children will also be having a group photograph taken wearing their leavers’ hoodies.

   

  There is no obligation for you to buy the photographs but they will be back before the end of term if you would like to purchase it.

• Year 7 and Reception Admission Portal opens

  If your child will be going into Year 7 or Reception in September 2023 then the time to apply for their place has arrived.  The online Admission portal opens on Monday 3rd October 2022 and closes Friday 25th November.  You will need to apply for  a school place using the online portal.

   

  It is your responsibility to submit an application and apply on time.  If you do not submit an application you will not receive a school offer.   Your child will not be given a school place automatically.

   

  Letter are being sent home this week.  If your child is absent or hasn't received a letter please ask the teacher or call to the school office.
