In Year 1 we are excited about the New Year and our brand new topic which is 'Up, Down and All Around'.
We really enjoyed our topic about People last term 'Everyday Heroes'- we particularly enjoyed our party in class with our Everyday Heroes- our family and carers!
This term we will be learning about Places and have already set up a TRAVEL AGENTS in our role-play area.
Please check out our class page every week for updates and pictures. The children really enjoy telling their classmates about events and things which happen at home so please do send me pictures via Class Dojo for me to show to the children- this helps to develop their oracy skills and helps them to develop confidence talking in front of the class.

Fruit Money is collected on a Monday and the cost is £1.25 per week, all children receive fruit in the morning and milk is provided by the Welsh Government.
P.E is on a Wednesday afternoon, please could you ensure that your child has a pair of tracksuit bottoms/ leggings and appropriate footwear for outside P.E sessions going forward into the Spring and Summer terms.
Home Learning Journals are sent home on a Friday and are to be returned by the following Wednesday if possible please.
As we read with the children throughout the week please could you send reading books AND reading records in EVERY DAY so the children get into good habits as they progress throughout the school.
