Year 5/6 - Mr Webster

Here Comes the Sun

Gors Jubilee Celebrations

On Friday the children of Year5.6W had an absolute ball celebrating the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. Myself and Mrs Horner were so proud of their performance of 'Here Comes The Sun' by the Beatles. Everyone did really well.

Blwyddyn Newydd Da!

Shwmae pawb. Happy New Year from myself and Mrs Horner! We hope you have all had a nice break and are looking forward to the new term.

Our new topic is called 'On Our Travels'. We are starting this topic by looking at the book ‘Hidden Wonders of the World’ and will be looking at the planets wildest and weirdest places. We will then create fact files and reports on different countries all over the globe. These countries will represent the wider community of our school. This will then link to us learning about the home languages spoken by member of our year 5/6 team.

There are few changes to our daily routines this term. We will be having later breaktimes and lunchtimes meaning a longer morning and a shorter afternoon. We also have Ms Wright as part of our team for the foreseeable future. Croeso Ms Wright!

Homework was given out this week. Please practise the weekly spellings with your child. Tasks will also be set on Mymaths, related to the learning in the classroom, every week.

Any questions please do not hesitate to ask via class dojo.

Shwmae! Croseo i flwyddyn 5/6 W.

Welcome to our class page. We will be sharing some of our exciting learning and any key information on this page.

We have had a brilliant Autumn term so far and it is only getting busier as we countdown to Christmas. We are currently in the middle of practising for our upcoming Panto 'Aladdin' and preparing our product for our enterprise project. Watch this space!

However, we have continued with our Literacy and Numeracy learning. We have used these skills across all areas of the curriculum.  It has been fun working the children and our amazing teaching assistant Mrs Horner.

Thank you for visiting our page and please come back soon!
