Key times for the day:

8.50am - doors open for learners to arrive for registration. If you arrive after this time then you will need to sign your child into school at the main office.

11.55am - lunch 

3.20pm - end of school day 

Attendance – ‘Every day, on time’. It is wonderful to see our children every day and on time. If your child is unwell and unable to attend School, please ring the office to notify them or send a message on class dojo. 

Autumn Term

Our Topic this term is ‘Once Upon a Time’. We will embark on an exciting journey into the world of traditional tales, fairy tales and fantasy stories. We will explore well-known characters and settings, compare different versions of familiar stories, and use our imaginations to create our own magical adventures.

In Literacy, we will be developing our story writing skills. We will learn how to create interesting characters, exciting settings and engaging plots, using a range of descriptive language and story features to bring our ideas to life.

In Numeracy, we will be looking at Place Value and the Four Operations, as well as ensuring we practise our Times Tables on a daily basis.

In PE, we will be developing our skills in Cricket, focusing on throwing, catching, batting and teamwork through a range of fun and engaging activities.

We look forward to taking part in exciting learning experiences throughout the term, including visits to the local community and a range of creative activities linked to our topic.

Things to remember

Fruit can be bought in school (30p)

P.E is on a Tuesday - can children please come dressed appropriately.

Outdoor Learning is on a Friday afternoon - children must bring appropriate outdoor clothes as we will go out whatever the weather!

Books and reading records will be brought home daily. Please support the children in reading with them for 10 minutes

Times tables – will be sent home in homework books – just 10 minutes a day will make a difference! Test will be on a Friday

Spelling words will be sent home each Friday. Please practice them at home. There will be a Spelling Test the following week

Homework - please return homework books every Friday so they can be sent home again for the weekend
