Information from Design to Smile
Due to the current situation with the pandemic COVID – 19 (coronavirus) we have been advised to temporarily suspend the Designed To Smile tooth brushing and Floride Vanish programme in schools until further notice.
We are asking all settings to reiterate to parents and guardians that the programme has been suspended, however they need to continue to keep tooth brushing at home.

The FFROGS - Friends and Fundraisers of Gors School will be selling Mother's Day gifts in the hall on Friday 13th March and Monday 16th March. the gifts will range from £1 to £2 each.
If your child would like to purchase a gift please could you send the money in an envelope with your child's name on the front. the children will then be able to go into the hall during the school day and choose the gift they would like to purchase.
All profits raised will be used by the FFROGS to support the work of the school.
Due to the Key stage 2 Christmas concert taking place on Wednesday 11th December, we have had to cancel the Guardians of Anchora club this week. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.
Just a reminder about the Monster ball on Friday 25th October during school hours. It is £1 per child (includes disco with DJ and a drink).
Children can wear fancy dress costumes to school but NO CLOWN COSTUMES OR WEAPONS please as these can frighten some children.

Fruit Money
Fruit money must be paid to the class teacher on a weekly basis. The cost per pupil is £1.25 or 25p a day. Last year we were unable to balance the books and were underpaid for fruit money. As a healthy school we feel it is necessary to continue to run this snack time for our pupils. WE would be grateful if you would make every effort to pay as regularly as possible so that we can stock the fruit on a weekly basis.
There is currently one position available for a Parent Governor. Our Governing Body are an extremely committed and proactive group who work to improve the school in so many different ways. Governors have an extremely active roll to play in our school’s development and future, so if you would like to come on board or have a chat with Mrs Gibbard about what this means for you then please come to the office and ask for more details or make an appointment for an informal chat.
