Crazy Creators

This term, our topic is titled “Crazy Creators.” Through the medium of art, we aim to foster curiosity about the world around us and inspire our students to question what is best for the future. Our objective is to cultivate ethically informed citizens who possess the ambition to improve the world by critically examining our actions and the decisions we make.

In our science curriculum, students will learn to group organisms and classify various animals and plants, enhancing their understanding of biodiversity. This foundational knowledge will support their ability to engage with environmental issues and the importance of conservation.

In literacy, students will develop their writing skills and participate in debates, encouraging them to articulate their thoughts and opinions effectively. This will not only enhance their communication skills but also promote critical thinking.

In mathematics, our focus will be on multiplication and division, alongside an exploration of fractions. These essential skills will provide students with the tools necessary for problem-solving and logical reasoning in everyday situations.

We All Matter

During our topic this Autumn term the children will be embarking on an exciting journey through time and space. They will learn all about the amazing, inspiring 'hidden figures' that were so integral to the NASA space programme. They will explore the 'Space Race' of the 20th century and the debate big questions related to space travel. We will also be making our own space buggies and rockets made out of recyclable materials. We will be practising our reporting skills by  writing news articles and reporting on the main events that happened during this era of space exploration.  Finally, we will be creating our own products for our end of term fayre and discussing what makes a successful business.
