- Please return reading books every day.

Things you can do to help

Please make every effort to read at home with your child. Just a page or two a day will be really beneficial and help your child to develop their reading skills. Reading books should be brought into school daily, and the children will be read with as often as possible.  Reading books will be changed around once per week, if we feel your child needs a new book.

Allow children time to write in the house, this could be helping write the shopping list, write a card, write a story together.  The most practice children have writing the more confidence they will get.

Children could also complete any of these 'Daily Do's' to help support their learning journey:

  • Practicing spellings of high frequency words.
  • Practicing handwriting, recognising and writing letters of the alphabet (Lower and Uppercase
  • Practicing times tables.
