Here, you will be able to find out all the important information you need about our class, as well as keeping up-to-date with all the wonderful activities, projects and excursions we complete throughout the term.

Key times for the day:

8.40am - doors open for learners to arrive 

8.50am - doors closed for registration. If you arrive after this time then you will need to sign your child into school at the main office.

11.55am - lunch 

3.20pm - end of school day 

Attendance – ‘Every day, on time’. It is wonderful to see our children every day and on time. If your child is unwell and unable to attend School, please ring the office to notify them or send a message on class dojo. 

Autumn Term

Our Topic this term is ‘We All Matter!’. We will embark on an exciting journey through time and space, learning about the inspiring ‘hidden figures’ integral to the NASA space program, exploring the ‘Space Race’ of the 20th century, and debating the big questions related to space travel.

In Literacy we will be practicing our reporting skills by writing news articles and reporting on the main events of this era of space exploration.

In Numeracy we will be looking at Place Value and the Four Operations, as well as ensuring we practice out Times Tables on a daily basis.

We look forward to visiting the local community with a trip to Townhill Library, and Glasfryn House on the horizon. We will also enjoy various transition activities, beginning with Art lessons in Dylan Thomas - what fun!

Things to remember

Fruit can be bought in school (30p)

P.E is on a Tuesday - can children please come dressed appropriately.

Books and reading records will be brought home daily. Please support the children in reading with them for 10 minutes

TTRS – the children have been given their log-ins and can practise their tables online from the house – just 10 minutes a day will make a difference!

Spelling words will be sent home each Friday. Please practice them at home. There will be a Spelling Test the following week

Homework - is on a half-termly basis
