  • Myleene's Music Klass Singer, pianist and radio host, Myleene Klass is offering muisc lessons on her YouTube channel. Teaching children the basics, such as the difference between major and minor, reading music and clapping out a rhythm.
  • Kids Cook with Theo Former MasterChef star, Theo Michaels, is hosting a live cook along on Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 4pm. A list of ingredients (easy, quarantine friendly) will be posted the day before.

Coronavirus Home Learning

In Year 5/6, we take pride knowing that we come to school each day and challenge ourselves to be the very best that we can be! 

We are a caring, enthusiastic and friendly bunch who demonstrate a positive example to our younger pupils.

For a lot of us, this is our last year in this amazing school. So we're going to make sure that we make the very most of it! We're looking forward to:

  • Residential visit to Llanmadog.
  • Transition visits to our local future comprehensive schools.
  • Enterprise Projects.
  • Raising money for important charities.
  • Educational visits.
  • Leading Christmas productions and other weekly whole school events.
  • Organising Sports Day
  • Becoming the leads of our Pupil Voice Committees 
  • Working with members of the community.

Spring Term Topic

 

WOW

World Of Wonder

 

Our topic for this term is ‘Wow!’ where the children will be learning about the different manmade and natural wonders of the world.

 

We will be comparing the wonders of the world on:

- Location and plotting them on the world map.

- Size by using our numeracy skills and creating data bases.

- The importance of each wonder.

- Whether they’re man made or natural.

 

One particular aspect of the children’s learning will be to complete an oracy presentation on a chosen world wonder. Your child will be set online tasks to support their presentation. Use of the internet at home will enhance their learning in this area. Therefore, if you don’t have internet access at home then your child will be provided with additional opportunities at school.
