Culture of the Month

Here at Gors we are lucky enough to be represented by such a wonderfully diverse and multicultural group of children and adults. We believe it important to celebrate what makes us special and look to ways in which we can learn from each other. 

'Culture of the Month' aims to bring the focus to certain sections of our learners in order to develop a sense of tolerance, empathy and inclusion her at Gors.

Culture of the Month

May 2022-Bengali

During the month of May we celebrated the Bengali Culture. We were lucky enough to have a parent come in to have a parent provide food for a food tasting session. We also loved a parent coming in for a Mendhi session. 

Our 'Cultural Experts' have been sharing information about their culture and even teaching us basic greetings in their language. 

Culture of the Month- June

Polish

This month we will be learning all about the Polish Culture. We are lucky enough to have a number of experts, including Miss Williams, here at Gors. We can't wait to learn more about this diverse, beautiful country and the culture of the people. We will be learning about their traditions, food, festivals and language.
